Visa & Passport

Work Permit

Getting a Chinese working visa isn’t as difficult as it may seem. However, it does require some advanced preparation — in particular, when it comes to preparing documents that are required for getting your China Work Permit (the first step before you can apply for your Chinese working visa). This process may take some time, so the ESL team may advise you to begin preparing these documents in advance.

Documents to Begin Your Visa Process

Here is a checklist of what you will need to prepare – once you have signed your job offer, you will move to the Visa process with these documents:

Passport

Provide a clear scanned color copy of your passport information/bio and signature pages, it should be a full two-page scan (do not use your phone, must be scanned).

Original passport with at least a year of remaining validity at the time of visa application and with at least three blank visa pages No damage (no stains, blotches, smudges, blots and etc.)

No pages missing

Once we begin the process of the Working Permit application, the passport cannot be changed until the Z Visa is completed.

Resume

A clear resume with your education and working background is necessary, it should include;

  • Email address

  • Hometown address

  • Phone number

  • Working background

  • Education background (high school info, start & end month included)

SCANNED COLOR DOCUMENT COPIES

A. Bachelor’s degree Certificate

Provide a clear scan color copy of your bachelor’s degree, it should state:

  • The name on your TEFL must be exactly the same as the name on your passport.

  • If you do not have a TEFL certificate yet, our ESL Consultant will provide you with a TEFL partner that ESL work with and you can complete your TEFL through them. They will help you to do the authentication steps for the TEFL, you just need to complete it, the rest is taken care of.

  • If you have a TEFL already you can provide a clear scanned color copy and your visa Advisor or Case Manager will provide the steps in order to authenticate it.

DIGITAL AND HARDCOPY PHOTOS

Your visa application photo must meet certain criteria regarding size and content. Submitting photos that do not meet these criteria will delay the visa application process. Digital photos must have been taken within the last six months, and must meet the guidelines shown in the image below:

Will this be your first
time going abroad?

Requirements for visitor’s visas differ from country to country, and the requirements are subject to change. As each application is treated as an individual case and you should make inquiries with your nearest South African mission or consulate abroad or any office of the Department of Home Affairs to see whether or not you are required to apply for a visa.

It usually takes about 10 working days to finish with all the requirements. The information provided about visa and passport is direct from above-mentioned embassies and we have license for the content.

Foreigners with long term status (work permits/permit residence) in the neighbouring countries who transit the Republic to return to their employment or residence are not subject to the transit visa, provided they are in possession of proof of their status.

We appreciated the importance and personal impact of obtaining a legal and correctly categorised visa in the most administrative efficient and timely manner.

Foreign nationals with work visas that are due to expire and/or have already expired for instance to Transfer Work Visas or Short-Term Visas and that usually requires a trip back to their home country for reapplication, may now apply for the renewal of same within South Africa for an extended period.

Done within less than 7 working day. Ask us how  we can assist you and download the consent.
